Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
By joining forces with willing staff members we kicked-off green programming through a community workshop on campus-greening funded by the Chesapeake Bay Trust, participated it the launch of the CBMM Green Team, and made a presentation to the Volunteer Corps on the green movement in museums and the options for green practice at CBMM.

Connecticut Landmarks
With HKT Architects we conducted an assessment of conditions and practices at three historic properties looking for alternatives for reducing consumption of energy and materials, and recommending alternative practices to increase public engagement and support learning while reducing environmental impact and costs. The report was a guide for green practice that could be used institution-wide to support Connecticut Landmarks efforts to be a leader in environmentally-sustainable preservation of its landscapes and structures.

Detroit Zoo
Advising work included conducting onsite and offsite work for their strategic plan “Green Print” overlay. This included green team advising, interviewing for the first sustainability coordinator, and advising staff and board on strategic thinking for incorporating green practice through facilities, operations and programs.

Habitat for Humanity Choptank
With the Green Building Committee we conducted an assessment of organizational practices and building planning by looking for alternatives to reduce the environmental impact of new construction, save energy for the environment and the new home owner, and encourage sustainable living practices for new home owners.  With the board we discussed new ways of making decisions based on the Quadruple Bottom Line: People, Planet, Profit and Program.
